Spaces: Yabu Pushelberg: Toronto Residence

. Sunday, April 11, 2010

The Toronto home of interior designers George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg.  A nice follow-up to the earlier post on their New York residence.

Throughout this cool and relaxed space are select pieces of premium 20th Century modern design, most notably the pair Gio Ponti chests on brass legs, Piero Fornasetti screen, and the Jacques Guillon String Chair. The sleek stainless steel and glass dining table flanked by richly pronounced Brazilian rosewood and leather dining chairs, strikes a nice balance of the organic sculptural with the linear architectural. The theme continues in the 2nd floor bath, seemingly immersed within the trees.
